Bunmi is an employee of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria. She works as a Producer, Reporter and a content provider with Metro FM Lagos which is an arm of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria. She has, in the last five years worked diligently on health issues both as a reporter and as a producer.Some of the projects she has worked on include working with the Abidjan- Lagos Corridor organization (ALCO), as a reporter on HIV/AIDS issues. ALCO is a five country initiative comprising Nigeria, Ghana, Togo, Republic of Benin, and Cote d’ivoire. ALCO is saddled with the responsibility of addressing HIV /AIDS amongst migrants, long distant drivers, traders, and Commercial Sex Workers along the Transport corridors of these five countries.She has worked for the UN’s IRIN Radio as a reporter on Reproductive health and HIV/AIDS issues.She has also worked with the West Africa News Media and Development Center (WANAD) first as a reporter on HIV/AIDS issues and then as WANAD Focal point in Nigeria.She is the producer of MY DOCTOR & I, a 30 minutes health programme that runs on Metro 97.7 Fm every Sunday. She was also a nominee at the 2012 Nigeria Media Merit Award for Radio Reporter of the Year.

Yinka started her journalism career with Vanguard Media Limited in 2010 and has written series of stories on healthand religion. Her focal area of report had been on the Girl Child, Rape, Child Abuse, Gender Equality, HIV/AIDS. She took an interest in reporting on HIV prevention technology because of its close relationship and tie to girl and women issues. Her award winning publication was based on a report on microbicide titled ‘microbicide hold promise for better maternal health’ published in the Vanguard Newspaper of September 2010 won her the runner up position for the 2010 NHVMAS biomedical HIV Prevention Media Ambassador Award. She however functioned in the role of the Ambassador for the year since the winner of the award could not function in that capacity.
