Mrs. F.C. Durueke
Mrs. F.C. Durueke is the Executive Director of NHVMAS. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Calabar and a Masters degree in Public Health from the University of Lagos. She is also a Professional Nurse. She has been working in the field of HIV/AIDS for over ten years. She coordinates the administrative and programmatic activities of the organization. She has a passion for women and children issues. Her vision is to see a society with the rights of women and children are promoted and supported.
Alaka Oluwatosin Bamidele
Alaka Oluwatosin Bamidele is the Programme Officer. He joined New HIV Vaccine and Microbicide Advocacy Society (NHVMAS) in 2010 as a volunteer after bagging his Bachelor’s Degree in Physiology from the University of Ilorin. He is a public health professional with a strong interest in integrating information technology into public health approaches for better health outcomes. He coordinates all IT-related issues of NHVMAS which includes; development of the content of the monthly e-Newsletter, management of the NHVMAS listserv, programs collation of reports on discussions on the listserv, maintenance of the blog as well as the implementation of e-advocacy programmes. Tosin enjoys playing chess and traveling.
David Expenyong Ita
Assistant Programme Officer
David is a community HIV prevention advocate with many years of experience working with vulnerable communities in Nigeria. Over the years, he started as a Peer Educator in 2012 and rose up the ranks to become the Assistant Programme Officer for Action for Community Development. He also functioned as a Monitoring & Evaluation officer for Journalists Against AIDS in 2018. His work with NHVMAS reiterated his passion for promoting adolescent SRHR in Lagos. He also championed an advocacy project on age of consent and SRHR as an AVAC fellow in 2019. David enjoys
